#1 Method how to enable Google Assistant on rooted Android Nougat Manual editing

1. First things first, this method needs the phone to be rooted which in all likelihood will void the manufacturer warranty and might also brick your phone, so tread at your own risk.

2. Now after rooting your android device you need to download and install the app Es File Explorer in your device.

3. Now launch the app and then navigate to the folder System Folder -> Build.prop.

4. Just add or replace these lines on your build.prop ->

ro.product.model=Pixel XL
ro.opa.eligible_device=true

5. Now after this save the file and come out of the app.

6. That's it you are done, Now go to Settings>Apps, Google and clear the cache data and reboot the device.

If you are not familiar with manual editing flash the ZIP’s which can be found here. Also, for those who have not rooted their phones might still be able to get the feature via a custom recovery image. Also, since the phone model becomes Pixel or Pixel XL it is most likely that you won’t be able to get updates from the manufacturers, however, this is not a problem for Nexus devices.
