How to Make Siri Announce Incoming Calls On iPhone

One good use of Siri that you may want to try out is to make Siri announce incoming Calls on your iPhone. Whenever you get a call on your iPhone,  Siri  will let you know who is calling by announcing the Caller’s name.

Steps how to make siri announce incoming calls on iPhone

1.  From the Home Screen of your iPhone, tap on the setting app.

2.  On the Settings screen, tap on phone.


3.  On the next screen, tap on Announce Calls option.



4.  On the Announce Calls screen, choose whatever works best for you: Always, Headphones & Car or Headphones Only.


As you can see from the above image, it is easy to switch from “Always” to “Headphones & Car”, which ensures that Siri will announce incoming Calls only when you are in the Car and also when you are wearing headphones and listening to Music or Audiobooks.

At any time you can stop Siri from Announcing Calls on your iPhone by tapping on the Never option.


After setting up your iPhone to let Siri Announce incoming Calls, the ringtone  on your iPhone will still play, but Siri will talk over it, letting you know the Name of the person who is Calling you.


If the Caller happens to be in your Contact List, Siri will announce the Caller’s Name. In case the Caller is not in your Contact List, Siri will announce that you have received a Call from an Unknown Caller.
