Narendra Modi Launched BHIM App And Everything You Need To Know – Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) is an initiative to enable fast, secure, reliable cashless payments through your mobile phone. BHIM is interoperable with other Unified Payment Interface (UPI) applications, and bank accounts. BHIM is developed by the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI). BHIM is made in India and dedicated to the service of the nation.


India is an increasingly cashless demonetization of the puzzle and is moving towards the digital economy. Modi is aggressively launching new plans to accelerate the process and due to the lack of currency notes to ease people’s concerns. Last Friday, PM Modi launched the new BHIM app that will help people use digital ways of transacting.


The Full Form of BHIM Is “Bharat Interface for Money” & The BHIM App is a UPI (United Payments Interface) based app and is very simple to use. It allows users to make payments using your smartphone as a digital feature, and the app is directly linked to the user’s bank accounts. The Best Feature of BHIM App is you don’t need to load money into the app. The BHIM app completes the transactions from your bank account directly and instantly.

As prime minister said, Bhim app can be used on smartphones, and service can be available on feature phones cost INR 1,000-1,200. No Need to internet connectivity to send/receive money with the service, and all you need is a thumb. The word “angutha Chhap” (thumb impression instead of signature of the person who pays) some time ago people were illiterate. But now, the thumb has become the bank, and it really is your identity now.

How does it work?

Register your bank account with BHIM, and set a UPI PIN for the bank account. Your mobile number is your payment address (PA), and you can simply start transacting. Yes! It is that simple. Send money to or receive money from friends, family and customers through a mobile number or payment address. Money can also be sent to non UPI supported banks using IFSC and MMID. You can also collect money by sending a request and reverse payments if required.


BHIM App Transaction Limits

Maximum of Rs. 10,000 per transaction and Rs. 20,000 within 24 hours. In addition, each transaction is limited to a maximum of INR 10,000. So long as you’re only sending/receiving a total of INR 20,000 through the BHIM app, you want as many transactions as you can perform.

On the flip side, the app is not available on iOS and Windows, both of which have a substantial user base in India.
