Nokia D1C Android Device Arrives On AnTuTu, Benchmarks Website

A new Nokia smartphone has been spied after it made several passes through the Geekbench benchmark suite. The Nokia device is called the D1C and while we don’t know much about the smartphone, we do have a few specifications thanks to Geekbench. The smartphone has a Snapdragon 430 SoC with an octa-core 1.4GHz processor.


If we talk about Nokia D1C which was spotted early in Geekbench on September 30, scored 682 in the single-core score while the multi-core score was 3299. Now Just after making the appearance in Geekbench, Nokia D1C smartphone has now been spotted on AnTuTu benchmarking service.


According to the Geekbench, the upcoming Nokia D1C features an ARM Qualcomm 1401MHz 8-core processor. Currently, the processor that completely fits with this description is the octa-core Snapdragon 430 SoC which is clocked at 1.4GHz. The rest of the specs are not mentioned in the Geekbench but it is expected the Nokia D1C will have 3GB RAM and will run Android 7.0 Nougat.


The AnTuTu run through confirms that the Snapdragon 430 SoC is under the hood, featuring an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 505 GPU. The screen (with a size that is unknown so far) will have a 1080 x 1920 resolution. 3GB of RAM is inside along with 32GB of flash memory. The rear-facing camera weighs in at 13MP, and an 8MP camera will appear in front to snap selfies and handle video chats. Android 7.0 will be pre-installed.

As shown in the Geekbench benchmark sheet, 5 different benchmarks were conducted for Nokia D1C which yielded different single-core and multi-core score. The single-core score for Nokia D1C Android phone ranges from 656 to 667 while the multi-core score ranges from 3120 to 3229.


Earlier this year, Nokia gave a 10-year license to HMD Global for manufacturing tablets and smartphones under the Nokia brand name. The phones will be manufactured in China by Foxconn. Currently, it is said that Nokia is working on two introductory devices – one with higher specs and possibly featuring a Snapdragon 820 processor while the other will be a mid-tier device featuring Snapdragon 430, the same one featured in the Geekbench benchmark.

Nokia, haven’t yet made any official statement regarding their upcoming devices. We have to wait for some more time to know how much this rumor turns out to be true.
