WhatsApp launched new desktop app for Windows and Mac OS X

The instant messaging application from the tech giant Facebook, WhatsApp has launched a desktop application for Windows and Mac, which will mirror the conversations and messages from a user’s smartphone device. As the WhatsApp claims that WhatsApp desktop client will offer the desktop notifications, better keyboard shortcuts, and much more, as well as WhatsApp, said that the WhatsApp desktop client will be available for the PCs running on Windows 8 and above and for Mac OS 10.9 and above.


There is no differenc between Whatsapp web and Whatsapp desktop app. The WhatsApp app for Windows and Mac OS X is still just the extension of the phone account and you will see no difference from the WhatsApp Web, but at least, there will be no link to your Web browser where a tab was kept active all the time.



How to use and log into WhatsApp Desktop App

1. Download Whatsapp Desktop app from Official website.

2. Install this app in your PC.

3. Make sure your PC and mobile in same wifi network for using this app.

4. Open Whatsapp Desktop app in your Computer.

5. In the WhatsApp for your phone, tap on the right top Options and tap on WhatsApp Web. Then, tap on the + icon to add a new computer. Scan the QR code that is showing up on your WhatsApp desktop app.


6. Now your Phone is connected with your Whatsapp Desktop app.


The download of the new desktop versions of Whatsapp is possible directly via the Whatsapp website. Download the Windows version is 61.5 MB in size, while for the zip file with the Mac version a download 51.7 MB starts.

Some of the advantages of using the web app include gaining access to all favorite keyboard shortcuts and getting desktop notifications. The app was fast and responsive.
