There are two types of iPhone users, either they love Siri or they Love-love Siri. It is evident from the choices that almost every iPhone user consumes Siri’s service in varying degrees. If you have skipped the Siri setting during setup or it’s disabled for some reason, here’s how to activate Siri on iPhone 11 Pro Max, 11 Pro, and iPhone 11.

There are two ways you can access Siri on your iPhone 11 series – voice command and side button. For the former, you just have to prompt “Hey Siri,” followed by the command or questions you have.

Steps how you can activate Siri on iPhone with voice commands

1. Open Settings app and scroll down to select Siri & Search on your iPhone.

2. In the Ask Siri section, toggle on the switch next to Listen for “Hey Siri.” And confirm the action by tapping on Enable Siri.

3. Tap on Continue to feed your voice to Siri, for future references.

4. Now Siri will ask you to say a few common commands; follow the instruction to enable Siri on iPhone with voice commands.

After you exit the app, you can run a test by calling Hey Siri. The virtual assistant will recognize your voice and react accordingly. If you don’t like calling out Siri for help, you can also access Siri with the side button.

Just long-press the side button for two to three seconds, and Siri will be at your service. But before that, here’s how to activate these settings.

Steps how to enable Siri on iPhone 11 series with side button

1. Open Settings → Siri & Search on your iPhone.

2. In the Ask Siri section toggle on the switch next to Press Side Button for Siri.

3. Now press Side Button to test; the Siri screen will be activated.

Note: If you are activating Siri for the first time, the Enable Siri dialogue box will pop-up. Confirm the action and follow the on-screen instructions. Once the Siri set-up is completed, you can also choose to change Siri’s voice & language or enable or disable Siri’s suggestions as per will.

Steps how to disable Siri completely on iPhone 11 series

Depending upon your preference, you can either use both voice command and side button method or anyone to activate Siri. However, what if you belong to the third category of iPhone users who do not love Siri? Well, then you can also choose to de-activate its services completely.

1. Open Settings → Siri & Search on your iPhone.

2. Toggle off Listen for “Hey Siri” and “Press Side Button for Siri” in the Ask Siri section. And confirm the action by tapping on Turn Off Siri.

Whether you love Siri or not, the virtual assistant has proven its worth time and again. In fact, Siri can also announce the message sender’s name and read the message received via AirPods and other compatible headsets. Is there something Siri can’t do?
