Samsung is Working on Three Galaxy S10 Models

While the Galaxy S10 is not due to go official for at least five months, information about Samsung’s next-gen flagship is starting to pop up online.

It seems the Korean tech giant had three Galaxy S10 models certified by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (CMIIT). These devices bear model numbers SM-G9700, SM-G9730 and SM-G9750. The information is in league with previous leaks which revealed the same model numbers. Although in this case, there’s an extra “0” at the end which indicates the devices are meant for the Chinese market.

According to the analyst, one of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 models will feature a 5.8-inch display and another will sport a 6.1-inch screen. The largest variant of the flagship could offer a 6.4-inch display. Furthermore, the source suggests that the 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch models of the Galaxy S10 will flaunt an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which will be embedded into the display.

The listings don’t reveal any actual information about the three Galaxy S10 models, except for the fact that they are all compatible with GSM, CDMA and LTE networks.

If leaks are correct, the Plus model should also take advantage of a tri-camera setup which will consist of a dual-aperture lens, a telephoto lens and a wide-angle one. As for the two other models, they will come equipped with a dual-camera solution.

The 5.8-inch variant is said to sport the fingerprint scanner on the side of the device, which will be a first for Samsung. The brand’s CEO has also talked about the in-display fingerprint sensor technology at a recent media event. As per the report, the same tech could also be used on Samsung’s high-end A series devices and the Galaxy Note 10, which will launch in fall 2019 and come with a 3D-sensing camera as well.

The Galaxy S10 will be Samsung’s 10th anniversary Galaxy S smartphone, so we expect great things from it. The two larger expensive variants will account the most for all the shipments. As for the upcoming Galaxy Note 10, the source predicts Samsung is aiming to ship around 14 million to 16 million units of the phone next year.
