Vivo Launch V9 in India on March 27, Look Like iPhone X

The last phone that Chinese smartphone brand Vivo launched in India was the Vivo V7 in November last year. The Vivo V7 was launched in India with a price tag of ₹18,990 and comes with a FullView display. Well now, according to latest reports, this Chinese smartphone brand is all set to launch a new smartphone in India – dubbed Vivo V9.

According to a report by IANS, the Vivo V9 will be launched in India later this month on March 27. The phone is also said to be priced at around ₹25,000 and will feature a 24 MP camera on the front. However, what’s more important is that the Vivo V9 will sport iPhone X-like notch.

However, leaked images (refer to first picture above) show that Vivo’s notch will be smaller than that of iPhone X. Furthermore, other leaked images also show-off dual camera setup at the back that’s located at the top-left corner of the phone in vertical orientation along with a fingerprint scanner residing at the center.

Vivo's Malaysia Twitter handle posted a couple teaser images on Wednesday and Thursday around the Vivo V9. Even its Indonesian handle posted a teaser video as part of its #PerfectSelfie campaign. This video but reaffirms the suspicion of a notch on the handset.

While other internal specifications are not yet known, we are expecting to get clarity on that and other details such as pricing and availability closer to or at the launch event scheduled for March 27 in India.

Earlier this week, Vivo unveiled its Vivo APEX smartphone that comes with a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio, elevating selfie camera, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, 5.99-inch OLED display, and a half-screen fingerprint scanning technology. Mass production of the smartphone is said to begin by the middle of 2018.
