Reliance Jio Begins Broadband Service With Upto 1Gbps Speed

We all know that Reliance Jio had already dominated the telecom market in India. Reliance Jio which is especially known for its high-speed free internet and already offered free services for 90 days to its subscribers.


Now with a new move Reliance Jio comed with Fiber-based broadband services. This service is now being tested from numerous days in Mumbai and Pune areas. Well, now the company aims to change the broadband landscape too. In September 2016, the company had tested FTTH (fibre-to-the-home) that promises broadband speeds of up to 1Gbps.


For the first three months the service is free for users that are getting somewhere between 70mbps to 100mbps. The 4G entrant also has plans to roll out fiber to home wireline network in metro cities Pune, Delhi and Chennai.

Users just need to pay charges of Rs 4,500 for installation and the router. There is no word regarding how much users have to pay after three months of free usage. Reliance Jio even had plans to roll out fiber to home wireline network in metro cities like Pune, Delhi and Chennai in coming times.

Reliance Jio Fibre broadband is quite similar to your existing wireless broadband service, but it uses fiber optic technology for establishing the high-speed connection. FTTH can offer speed up to 1Gbps.


So, the network is capable of delivering the download speed of 125Mb per second. That means you can download a 500Mb file in just four seconds. Mukesh Ambani had earlier mentioned that the service will be available for both home and business subscribers. However, there is no word on when the commercial rollout will begin.
