The app also works offline, so if your battery dies or you lose service, the app will still be able to point contacts to wherever your last known location was.
And if you are really worried about your trusted contacts, they can request to see your location. If everything’s fine, you can deny the request. your location is shared automatically to your loved ones when you’re unable to respond within a reasonable time frame. Of course, you can stop sharing your location or change your trusted contacts whenever you want.
