Google Add New Feature in Gmail

GOOGLE WANTS TO help you clean up your inbox with two new features: “Block Sender” and “Unsubscribe.” The block function is currently available via Gmail for web, and allows you to block people from sending you emails.

It works by automatically sending emails from blocked users to your spam folder, so you never have to look at them. In order to block someone, open up an email from them, click the drop-down menu next to the reply arrow, and choose “Block Sender.”

Unsubscribe

The “Unsubscribe” feature is also very useful, and allows you to stop receiving promotional emails without having to navigate through complicated we’re-so-sorry-to-see-you-go web pages. “Unsubscribe” is available on Gmail’s updated Android app (along with “Block Sender”), so if you’re an iOS or web user, you’re out of luck for the time being.

But if you are an Android user who wants to unsubscribe, go to the promotional email, hit the “More” option (represented by the three vertical dots) in the top right corner, and choose “Unsubscribe.” Whatever can help you get close to inbox zero, right?
