Hence, iPhone 7 is as powerful as a MacBook Pro.

The iPhone 7 scores better on both single- and multi-core than any MacBook Air ever made, and performs comparably to a 2013 MacBook Pro.

After benchmark tests in AnTuTu showing that the iPhone 7 beats the competition, recently the available new data showing that the iPhone 7 is more powerful than the “most powerful” Android devices.

According to the Apple information, A10 Fusion SoC is 40% faster than the SoC A9 (which equips the iPhone 6S) and it is two times faster than the SoC A8 (which equips the iPhone 6) as well as the company also claims that the new iPhone 7 is 120 times faster than the original iPhone.

Apple A10 Fusion is geared to 2.23GHz and earlier rumours pointed at the chipset clocking 2.4GHz, which could translate to a desktop-class performance. However, there is a fair chance that Apple might have underclocked the frequency for performance tuning.

The A10 chipset boasts a four-core processor with 3.3 billion transistors that could make handling system intensive tasks and powers two-efficiency cores optimized for low power that could promote longer battery life.

John Gruber created a minisite and joined the results of all new Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus confirming that the A10 Fusion SoC is probably the most powerful SoC that is available today. As you can see in the following image that in both single-core and multi-core A10 Fusion SoC takes clear advantage over the competition. As we can see in the single Core results, the iPhone 7 is two times faster than the best Android devices.

Another important fact revealed on the site which is created by John Gruber, is that iPhone7 and iPhone 7 Plus are more powerful (in single-core) than any Macbook Air so far produced. The first results show that the all new Apple iPhone7 and iPhone 7 Plus is a super powerful device and almost there is no competitor available currently to match.
