How to Upgrade iOS 10 in your iPhone

Apple has launched the much-awaited iOS 10 beta version some days back, and you can now upgrade to iOS 10 from older version of iOS. The version comes up with unique features including improved Apple Music, Siri SDK, revamped messages and much more.


First, you'll need to prepare your iOS device for the update, and the first step is backing things up in case you run into a problem. A full backup to iTunes is recommended, and it should be encrypted if you wish to preserve your Health and Activity data. Archiving the backup is also a good idea to make sure it remains available should you need to roll back from iOS 10.



Which devices support iOS 10?

Before you get excited about iOS 10, it's worth checking the device compatibility list. Here is a list of iPhones and iPads that support iOS 10:

Steps How to Upgrade iOS 10 in your iPhone

1. Start by going to the Apple Beta Software Program website.

2. Click the blue "Sign up" button towards the middle of the screen.

3. Sign in with your AppleID and password.

4. Read the terms and conditions and click the blue "Accept" button.

5. Click "iOS" at the top of the Guide for Public Betas page.

6. Click on the link "enroll your iOS device" text.

7. Perform a backup of your iOS device, preferably to iTunes.

8. Go to beta.apple.com/profile from the browser on your iOS device and follow the instructions to allow the configuration profile to be installed.

9. Once the profile is installed, from your iOS device tap on the "Settings" icon, then tap "General," and finally tap "Software Update" to download the available iOS 10 beta.




Now you should be able to use iOS 10. So, why would you want to use it in the first place? Let's take a look at the updates Apple is supposedly releasing in this version.

Note: If you've been on a previous iOS public beta, you may need to remove the previous beta profile before installing the iOS 10 version. You can do so by going to Settings > General > Profile, selecting the iOS Beta Software Profile, and pressing Delete Profile.
