The iPhone 7 is months away from being announced, yet more and more reports offer new details about the unreleased smartphone. Some of the most recent leaks suggest that Apple might be bringing 256GB of storage to the iPhone 7 line, as previously rumored, and that the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 will have a camera featuring optical image stabilization (OIS).
Apple keeps touting its 16GB model as the most affordable of the line, despite larger image sizes, 4K videos and apps eating up more storage. The iPhone 6/6s Plus to be the go-to phones for Apple fans who want not just space, but the best camera too. It's pretty clear they'll appreciate the iPhone 7 as well, based on the latest leak.
The dual-camera feature has been rumor and speculated on for some time now, with leaked previously leaked images and renders showing two lenses placed side-by-side on the back on the device. One thing that has been constantly mentioned, however, is that the dual-camera setup will be limited to the larger model iPhone 7, allowing Apple to market it as a flagship feature for 5.5-inch device.
The upcoming iPhone will be available in two variants, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The Plus sized version of the phone will exclusively house a twin-camera setup at the rear, instead of the traditional single lens setup. These lenses were initially being devised by Sony but are now being provided to Apple primarily by LG, on account of Sony’s delay in meeting with Apple’s demands.
In addition to the camera module, the image also reveals three memory chips that are supposed to be equipped in the iPhone 7 plus. If the image is true, it also confirms that the smartphone will have more internal storage space in its latest upcoming variant iPhone 7 plus. As we all know that, earlier we had iPhones with options of 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB, but, now they will come with 16GB, 64GB, and 256GB modules made by SanDisk.
The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are also expected to bring a new set of features never seen before on an iPhone like wireless charging, a probable smart connector at the back of the phone and the omission of the 3.5mm headphone jack to use the lightning connector for headset connectivity, among others.
